Dear Future Single Digit Handicapper,
If you're reading this page, I commend you, because you're acting on
the lesson that most already golfers know, but fail to do anything
about.

You already know the short game is the most important part of your
score, you want to do something about it, but you just need guidance.
It's okay. The short game isn't easy, but if you've learned anything
about me yet anywhere else, you know that I make things very simple.

It's true. Improving the short game is the quickest, easiest, and most
effective way to lower your scores significantly, but if you don't
learn it correctly, you can even harm your score!

Fear not. I'm here to help. And I promise to keep things as simple as
possible for you along the way.

You see, golf is my passion. I love seeing my students learn and
progress. I love answering questions, helping people, and getting
scorecards with 22 putts listed on them. It's a great feeling to make a
difference.

But it's important that you realize that I wasn't always where I am
today. There was a time I was just another hack. I took 36 putts a
round, took two chips every hole, and if I got in a bunker, well let's
just say I was beached for a while.

But that all changed. One morning I decided to that I was going to stop
messing around and actually do something about my scores. I decided to
pull out all the stops and master the short game.

That Day I Set Out to Just Break 90, But One Month Later ... I Shot a 77!!

Until I actually learned the short game correctly and learned the vast
number of techniques that make it so effortless, I never realized how
profound of an impact learning proper form, mechanics, green reading,
and all of the other little bits of knowledge that a golfer can use to
his or her advantage around the greens could have on my golf game.

also made the rest of my game better, because I knew if I got in
trouble, my short game would be there to bail me out. Learning the
short game really freed up my swing and allowed me to become a very
aggressive scorer.

From then on I realized that I had been approaching the game of golf
all wrong. My long game was decent enough and being someone who only
played once a week or so, twice at most, I didn't think that was going
to get much better in that respect.

So I continued to work on my pitching, chipping, bunker play and my
putting. I saw a few teachers, read a bunch of books, experimented with
techniques and drills of my own, and eventually developed my own
playing style around the greens that was very easy for me to re-create
- and also very easy to teach.

out how to tune everything else out and just let my skills take over.

but out of all of my hard work emerged a fool-proof short game system
